Description

These crispy and flavorful Cinnamon-Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips are a healthier alternative to traditional chips, offering a sweet and satisfying snack. With just a few simple ingredients, these chips are easy to make and perfect for a guilt-free treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe but firm bananas, peeled and sliced into thin rounds (about ⅛-inch thick)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or melted butter
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar (or coconut sugar)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Bananas:
    • Peel and slice the bananas into thin rounds, about ⅛-inch thick. Make sure the slices are uniform in size to ensure even cooking.
  • Coat the Bananas:
    • In a small bowl, mix the coconut oil (or melted butter) with the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until well combined.
    • Gently toss the banana slices in the cinnamon-sugar mixture, ensuring each slice is evenly coated.
  • Air Fry the Banana Chips:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
    • Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If needed, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
    • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping the banana slices halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Cool and Serve:
    • Once done, remove the banana chips from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack. They will crisp up more as they cool.
  • Enjoy:
    • Serve the banana chips immediately, or store them in an airtight container for later.

Notes

  • For a variation, you can add a pinch of sea salt or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor.
  • Make sure the bananas are firm to prevent them from becoming too mushy during cooking.
