- 4 slices of bread
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar for syrup
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Dip each slice of bread into the pumpkin mixture, allowing it to soak.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook each slice for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- For the syrup, combine the sugar and maple syrup in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until warmed and sugar is dissolved.
- Serve the French toast warm with pumpkin syrup drizzled over the top.
